Yes, I correct errors and follow the Oxford Guide to Style (or your preferred standard) to make sure that a publisher could not reject your work on the grounds that it is incorrectly written, and I also check basic facts and continuity. But beyond that I take my lead from each person to achieve a result they can be proud of.
